Chocolate Sauce (Especially for Ice Cream!)

Mom would make this to add to plan vanilla ice cream. We’d have marvelous sundaes with roasted pecans or walnuts, macerated berries, and chocolate sauce. Sometimes, when Dad was working with the Young Men, they’d have ice cream parties at our house, and this would be made.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of chocolate chips

• 3/4 cup corn syrup

• 3/4 cup evaporated milk

• 1 cube of butter

• salt and pepper

Instructions:

Place chocolate chips in a blender. Heat corn syrup, milk, and butter in a pan until bubbling. Add to blender and blend until smooth. Add salt and pepper. Serve warm.
